Emergency Repairs

Preservation doesn’t have to be overly expensive and scary. Simple things like repairing rotted window components and replacing broken window panes can help the longevity of your historic wood windows. Most of these can easily be done in less than a single day. Whether it’s a broken piece of glass from a flying toy or some wood rot that has been neglected for too long, we are here to help. We use preservation-grade wood consolidant and structural epoxy, followed by oil-based primer and high-end paint top coat. All broken glass and glazing putty are removed before new replacement glass is installed with preservation-grade glazing putty. Modern flat glass is used, but salvaged or replica wavy glass is an optional upgrade.
