Complete Window Restoration
Complete window restoration includes all necessary work to return your historic windows back to original condition. The restoration process includes upper and lower sash removal, scraping all old paint and glazing, glass and hardware removal, repair of any rotten or broken components with preservation-grade materials (structural epoxy, old-growth wood), two coats each of primer and top coat (color specified by customer) and new glazing putty. The sashes are then rehung in the window opening with new sash cords for proper function.
If needed, complete new sashes can be built using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery if major components are beyond repair.
